The phthalocyanine green G pigment microcapsules with urea-formaldehyde resin as the capsule wall were prepared by in situ polymerization method, and the polycondensation reaction process under acid catalysis was selected; using NH4Cl instead of organic acid as an acidic catalyst was beneficial to lower the pH value and the reaction was easy to control. The acidification time is appropriately extended, the endpoint pH value is low, the particle size of the microcapsules is small, the particle size distribution is uniform, and the microcapsules are compact and firm.
Optimized polycondensation reaction conditions are: NH4CL is used as an acidic catalyst, the catalyst is added in batches, the acidification time is 4 hours, the endpoint pH is 115, the curing temperature is 70 ℃, and the curing time is 2 hours. Flowable solid microcapsules with an average particle size of less than 5 μm.
